- With the team of The Outside Foundation, created a long-term initiative to capture oyster shells and use them to create reef for new oysters to grow, funded by a grant from Patagonia
- The initiative required educating the public of the need to recycle shell, reaching volunteers to participate in shell bagging and oyster reef building events
- Created partnerships to establish a new oyster shell collection site
- Hand painted the oyster shell recycling collection trailer that is used to collect shell at events like community oyster roasts
- Organized and participated in volunteer events, bagging oyster shells and then (with the assistance of SCDNR) transporting the bagged shell to on-water locations where it is installed as new reef
