I am a multi-talented artist, designer, project-manager, creator, director and visionary. I am interested in both gallery art, public art and art in the everyday. I am passionate about increasing access to art for everyone, demystifying the artistic process and breaking through the real or perceived gates around the art world. I love bright color, loud patterns, texture and movement. Much of my work incorporates "free stuff," or everyday items given or thrown away, and celebrated in an art context. I also really love working with chalk, painting murals, and working collaboratively!
Some of my favorite artists are Ed Ruscha, Hilma af Klint, Edvard Munch, Chris Burden, Jasper Johns, Ai Wei Wei, Rachel Whitereed and Andrea Zittel. I am inspired by everything around me: the mundane and absurd in the day to day, consumerism, pop culture, language, habits, collections, nostalgia and mass production.
